Halsey Hall in Watford welcomed the local community on Wednesday 24th June for a special Felix Fresh food distribution, delivered in partnership with The Felix Project and Hertfordshire Freemasons.

The event offered local residents the opportunity to collect a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables free of charge, helping good-quality surplus food reach those who could make use of it. Visitors were encouraged to bring their own bags, boxes and trolleys, with a wide selection of produce available throughout the afternoon.
The initiative was a pilot for a potential wider programme and demonstrated what can be achieved when local Freemasons, charitable organisations and community venues work together.
Adrian Marsh, the Grand Secretary, was in attendance with Rob Gurney, who led the Provincial involvement, while Halsey Hall manager Lianne co-ordinated volunteers from Old Fullerians Lodge, Watford Lodge and Chiltern Lodge. Members of the Provincial Grand Stewards also supported the event, alongside representatives from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, including Les Hutchinson and David Hudd.
The day was a strong example of Freemasonry in action, bringing volunteers together to provide practical support and make a positive difference within the local community. The success of the pilot will now help inform discussions about how similar initiatives could be developed in the future.
