Here at the United Grand Lodge of England, we are committed to making our website accessible for all users, regardless of technology or ability.

We have worked hard to build the website following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and conform it to Double-A.

These guidelines explain how we have made our website more accessible:

• Made the layout consistent
• Use the ‘inverted pyramid’ approach with the most important information at the top
• Written in plain English and broken up content with headings and lists
• Use a colour contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 between text and its background
• Avoid using small text and make it clear and simple to understand
• Added subtitles to videos
• Added alternative text to images
• Utilised descriptive hyperlinks
