Open House London 2023

The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) was delighted to participate again in the world's largest architecture festival, Open House London, on the 9th and 10th of September 2023 at its headquarters at Freemasons' Hall in Covent Garden.

During the weekend of 10-11 September, visitors had the opportunity to explore the exceptional art deco architecture of the building, witness the grandeur of the magnificent Grand Temple, and enjoy an engaging short film on Freemasonry.

The festival also celebrated Women Freemasons with members of Freemasonry for Women present and ready to engage in discussions about the significance of female Freemasonry.

A highlight of the event was a captivating showcase of rare photographs spanning the Second Boer War through to the end of the Second World War

Visitors could also engage with members of special interest Lodges dedicated to Science Fiction and Fantasy, historical masonic plays in authentic costume, Whisky Lodge, Military Lodge, and Formula One Lodge.
