The Freemasons' Hall is proud to host renowned Concert Organist, Donald MacKenzie, who will be performing on the recently refurbished Willis organ for our first organ concert of 2023.
If you've never visited the Grand Temple at Freemasons' Hall, now is the perfect opportunity to soak in the grandeur of this Art Deco masterpiece. Completed in 1933, this unique building is a monument to honour all those Freemasons who lost their lives in the First World War.
Donald MacKenzie is one of Europe's finest organists and has been performing since 1988. His illustrious career has included numerous Royal Film Performances, several of which were in the presence of the late Queen.
MacKenzie will be adding the Grand Temple at Freemasons' Hall to the long list of prestigious venues he has performed at, including his long association with the world-famous Odeon, Leicester Square, Compton Organ since 1992.
When he is not playing for concerts, Donald specialises in the art of improvised accompaniments to silent films. He was also engaged to play the organ for five weeks before each performance of the Disney film, ‘Aladdin’.
