Dear Brethren,
 
Many of you will have seen press reports about the Metropolitan Police Service consulting interested parties about a possible requirement to disclose membership.
 
I have a pre-planned meeting tomorrow with a delegation from the Met Police, with Anthony Howlett-Bolton and Donald Taylor, where we will emphasise our transparency and adherence to the law. We will also continue to remind them of our values and the legality around persecution of members.
 
This is an age-old theme, and hopefully, we will resolve it sensibly with them. Shaun Butler is also responding to inaccuracies in the article regarding the 3rd Degree Obligation
