Armistice Day & Remembrance Sunday

Freemasons’ Hall will be lit for Remembrance Day 2021 to honour the over 3,000 members who died during WWI and all those who serve to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life.

  • 11 November & 14 November (1100)

The live streaming of the 'Act of Remembrance' will show on the website on Armistice Day (11 November) and United Grand Lodge of England's Facebook and Instagram channels on Remembrance Sunday (14 November) at 1100. The 'Act of Remembrance' consists of the following:

  1. The Exhortation is recited.
  2. The Last Post is sounded.
  3. The Two Minute Silence is observed.
  4. Reveille is sounded.
  5. The Kohima Epitaph is recited.

The projections will be from 0001 on 11 November through 2359 on 14 November.
