1919 - 1965


Nat King Cole was born in Montgomery, Alabama on March 17, 1919. He was taught to play the organ at his church by his mother, and his first singing performance came at the age of four.

He would go on to gain international stardom with songs such as 'When I Fall In Love' and 'Unforgettable', cementing himself as one of the most popular artists of the 20th century.

It is thought that Nat King Cole was initiated in to Thomas Waller Lodge No. 49 in Los Angeles in 1938.
