| The
Embroidery Department In the basement of Freemasons’ Hall can be found one of the building’s treasures – an Embroidery Department run by Mrs Anna Fernandes. Mrs Fernandes and her highly skilled team have nearly 40 years experience specialising in the production of the highest quality banners from the original concept to the finished article. They can reproduce and replace an original banner or manufacture a new banner (from just a faxed original or a photocopy) using a library of stock designs and state of the art computer equipment, at all times taking the utmost care and showing great pride in excellent craftsmanship.
Visitors are always welcome, although a telephone call beforehand will ensure your visit will not be wasted. Mrs Fernandes regularly gives lectures to various Masonic and non-Masonic organisations. Save Money The Embroidery Department now sells embroidered skins. This means that when a Mason receives a promotion he will be able to keep his regalia and simply replace the skin. Embroidered badges are also on sale. Second-hand Regalia Mrs
Fernandes would be pleased to receive unwanted second-hand regalia. Please
think of sending such regalia to her rather than disposing of it in any
other way! The more regalia she receives, the more she can refurbish to
sell at a price which will suit Freemasons' pockets.
