Her Majesty the Queen's Golden Jubilee

At the beginning of Grand Lodge the Pro Grand Master said:

"Brethren, before we proceed I am sure you would like to know that I am instructed by the Most Worshipful The Grand Master to inform you that on behalf of this Grand Lodge, and the Craft as a whole, he sent a telegram in connection with Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee. It read as follows:

"To Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Buckingham Palace.
All Freemasons under the United Grand Lodge of England send Loyal and Heartfelt congratulations to Your Majesty on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee.

"The following reply was received from Buckingham Palace:

"The Queen has asked that her warm thanks be conveyed to you for your kind message of good wishes on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee. Her Majesty received your greetings and congratulations with much pleasure.
