Masonic Charitable Record

The four national Masonic Charities - The Grand Charity, Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys, Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution and New Masonic Samaritan Fund - announced that 2002 was a record year for Masonic charitable giving with some £22.9 million being expended on those in need.

The break down of expenditure was:

£7.6 million for residential care for older people

£8.6 million for children and young people

£3.4 million to health care and medical research

£1.8 million in Masonic relief grants

£1.3 million to vulnerable people and disability

£0.2 million to disaster relief
