Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

8th - 13th July 2008

The Middlesex Province is proud to announce that it has been accepted by the Royal Horticultural Society as an exhibitor at this years show in the small gardens section.

The garden is called “On the Square” and is under the direction of W Bro’s George Souter and Terry Baker whose main objective is to promote Freemasonry in the community. The appointed designers are Hazeldean Beard & Hazeldean who have previously entered this prestigious flower show and were awarded silver gilt status. We are certain that all Freemason’s will find this garden of special interest and will want to discover all the symbolic features that are included in the design.

Middlesex Province is fortunate that our surrounding Provinces have offered both financial and manning support and we are very grateful to them.

The Royal Horticultural Society who stages the flower show at Hampton Court Palace is the largest flower show in the World attracting more than 200k visitors each year. We recommend that each Lodge encourages all their green fingered members to make up a party and spend a great day out at Hampton Court. Pre-booking of admission tickets can be obtained by logging on to the website of the RHS at www.rhs.org.uk Tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit at the entrance gate.

The exposure of Freemasonry to so many members of the public who attend this annual event will hopefully go some way in dispelling some of the misconceptions levelled at Freemasonry.

At the end of the show week the “On the Square” garden will be uplifted and replanted at the Prince Michael of Kent Court RMBI home at Watford.
